Baby to Bee Shower

March 10, 2016 by Aliesha

Today I’m sharing all the details about a super fun baby shower our small group threw for our friend Ellen!  She doesn’t know if she’s having a boy or a girl, so we went with the theme: “What will baby bee? Sweet as honey!”  (This theme could also be spun as “baby to bee” or “mama to bee.”)

I got the napkins at a party store, but I tracked them down here for you too.

My friend Stuart has a cookie business and she made these beautiful “B” cookies!  The sign next to them read, “B is for Baby and Bicknell and Baby Bumble Bee.”

I made treat bars with Honeycomb cereal (made just like Rice Krispy Treats).

For the guest book, I had everyone place a pink or blue fingerprint on a bee to indicate their guess as to the gender of the baby!  Lots of pink bees… I guess we’ll find out soon!

I made a banner with letters I printed out and adhered to scrapbook paper pennants.

The confetti was also from a party store, but I also spotted it here.

I made a gift record page so we could keep track of who gave her which gifts.  At the bottom it says, “You are so loved, mama-to-bee!”

For favors, I tied several honey sticks together (found here) with baker’s twine and a little hexagon tag that read, “Honey and babies… what could be sweeter?”

I hope she felt blessed by her shower!  We all can’t wait to meet Baby B!

Solly Baby & Babies Don’t Stay Little

November 17, 2015 by Aliesha

Sweet little babes don’t stay little for very long, that’s one thing I know!

Solly Baby Wrap Mint

These days of lots and lots of snuggling and babywearing (long as they may feel at times) are so fleeting.  It won’t be long before he’s learned to climb out of his crib.  I’m enjoying these moments today when he still falls asleep in my arms.

Solly Baby Wrap Mint

I love the precious times when his soft, sweet-smelling newborn head is nestled so close to me in my soft Solly Baby wrap.  He is so cozy.

Solly Baby Wrap Mint

These days where he wears little sleepers all the time and always has a bit of milk on the corners of his lips will be gone in a moment.  Soon he’ll be wearing jeans and sneaking cookies off the counter, but not for now.

Solly Baby Wrap Mint

Now I’m cherishing wearing him close to my heart, wrapped in a buttery-soft wrap, gently kissing the top of his head at every opportunity.  I am his favorite, and I love it.

Solly Baby Wrap Mint

Thankful, thankful for these beautiful days of newborn hair cowlicks, baby coos, and soft infant sighs as he snuggles his head under my chin and falls asleep.  Bliss.

Disclosure: I received a blogger discount when I purchased my Solly Baby Wrap. All opinions are my own.

What’s in My Diaper Bag

November 3, 2015 by Aliesha

I’m not sure why, but I always love reading about what other women keep in their purses and diaper bags.

Maybe because I find it interesting to see what they deem worthy of lugging around with them all day every day!

At any rate, I wanted to share with you what’s currently in my diaper bag/purse!

First up, the stuff that is mostly for me.

Inside My Lily Jade Diaper Bag -wallet
-keys
-cell
-bobby pins & safety pins
-Bee Silk Junior (hand cream) from Made On
-travel size Real Salt (you never know when you may need this, haha)
-snack from my Graze Box
–lip balms and lip sticks (mildly obsessed with Root’s pretty balm)
-business cards
-two pairs of sunglasses (options, of course)
-pens (my nightmare is being somewhere without a good pen)

And then there is the stuff for baby. Inside My Lily Jade Diaper Bag

-changing pad (included with Lily Jade diaper bag)
-wipes
-diapers (several for baby & one for toddler… we use cloth at home, but frequently use ‘sposies when out & about)
-burp cloth (or two or three…)
-extra outfit
-socks (my kids lose their socks all over the place, so extras are a must)
-toddler sunglasses
–Covered Goods Nursing Cover (never leave home without it)

I load up all my baby stuff into the “baby bag” insert of my diaper bag (TONS of pockets!!), and I put my personal stuff in the main pockets of the actual bag.

That way, if I need to remove the baby stuff (like last night when I went to Bible study alone), it all comes out by simply lifting out the insert! Or when you drop your baby off for nursery at church, you can leave the baby bag insert and keep your purse with you.Inside My Lily Jade Diaper Bag

Everything is so nice and organized in my Lily Jade bag!  Love it!

What’s in your diaper bag?  Anything surprising?

Disclosure: I received a Lily Jade diaper bag in order to facilitate my original review and this post as well. All opinions are my own… I truly LOVE this bag!
