Week Thirty-Nine

August 26, 2013 by Aliesha

Home stretch, y’all!  I just have between a few days and a couple of weeks to go!  (Probably closer to 2 weeks, but that’s still close!)

I’ve been enjoying time with my darling girls and savoring the time I have with them before the baby arrives.

I’m drinking raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil, walking, and sitting on my exercise ball.  I even played a game of ultimate frisbee over the weekend!  I’m feeling good for the most part, and the last couple of nights I have gotten good rest.

I think if I went into labor tonight, I’d have everything “ready,” but I still have some things I’d like to accomplish before he arrives.

I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow.  I feel like I’ve dropped about an inch over the last couple of days, so maybe that is progress!

Thank you for your continued prayers for our baby’s safe arrival!

Accessorizing

August 21, 2013 by Aliesha

It’s always amazing to me how a couple of cute accessories and painted nails can turn an otherwise “boring” outfit into something cute!  Today on She {hearts} It, I’m reviewing (and giving away!) some maternity-safe nail polish (which you will enjoy, pregnant or not!) from Knocked Up Nails.  Read the review and enter the giveaway here!

Week Thirty-Eight

August 19, 2013 by Aliesha

Who else feels like that last week just flew by?

Had an appointment with one of my favorite midwives at my practice today.  ðŸ™‚  She was really encouraging and supportive of my desire to have a naturally-started labor!  It’s crazy to me how we’re already starting to talk about the “i” word (induction).  I’m planning on waiting as long as I can (provided that the baby is healthy and well) before being induced.

With that said, I would be FINE if he came on his own any time now!  I’m having contractions off-and-on all throughout the day most days (nothing regular or too close together), so I know my body is gearing up for labor!  I had a great night’s sleep last night, which was such a blessing.

I was also blessed by a baby shower yesterday at church, so I think we’re getting ready with all the baby essentials!  I’m busy checking things off my list too.

Getting so excited!!!
