Menu Monday

March 15, 2010 by Aliesha

Meals this week are SIMPLE, quick, and mostly coming from the freezer or the pantry! (Because of this, my shopping list has less than ten items on it. Yay!) I planned simple meals this week because we are (Lord willing) MOVING on Saturday! Keep praying that Saturday will be the day.

Monday
Lunch: tuna salad plate (Tad gone)
Dinner: tacos, tortilla chips, salsa, corn, fresh pineapple

Tuesday
Lunch: leftover pork roast OR frozen burritos
Dinner: Italian meatballs, rice, gravy, green beans (we didn’t have these last week)

Wednesday
Lunch: roast beef sandwiches, pickles, fruit
Dinner: hamburgers, oven fries, salad

Thursday
Lunch: ham & cheese sandwich melts, canned peaches
Dinner: Italian meatloaf, baked potatoes, lima beans

Friday
Lunch: leftovers
Dinner: whole wheat pizza with ham and spinach

Saturday
MOVING DAY
(absolutely no idea yet what we’re eating)

Sunday
Lunch: (church picnic) sandwiches, chips, tossed salad, apples, pickles, etc.

Breakfasts:
oatmeal, cereal, muffins, eggs

Snacks:
apple chips, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, PB&J

A simple lunch we had last week: chicken tenders, peaches, tossed salad with mandarin orangesA simple dinner we had last week: baked ziti (using frozen spaghetti sauce), sauteed spinach and garlic, french bread with garlic butter (yeah… we like garlic)

Menu Monday

March 8, 2010 by Aliesha

Sorry I’m posting so late today! We had our house inspection this afternoon (which took a looong time), and then we went grocery shopping. By the time we got home, it was time for dinner (well, past time…) and we just finished cleaning up from that!

Without further ado… here are our menus for the week.

Monday
lunch: ramen noodles and whole wheat bread
dinner: steaks cooked by Tad; oven fries; green beans in Italian dressing
(Note: The steaks were in our AFM box last month… otherwise we couldn’t afford steak! Also, the oven fries were part of the fruit from my recent freezer cooking day.)
Tuesday
lunch: roast beef & melted cheese subs; fruit (we bought a pineapple deeply on sale today!)
dinner: homemade spinach & chicken pizza; tossed salad; garlic bread
(Note: Whole Wheat Pizza crust mix already made & in the freezer!)

Wednesday
lunch: chicken tenders; tossed salad with mandarin oranges; fruit
dinner: baked ziti; garlic bread

Thursday
lunch: roast beef & melted cheese subs; veggies; fruit
dinner: hamburgers; oven fries; veggies
(Note: Hamburger patties and oven fries made & in the freezer!)

Friday
lunch: leftovers
dinner: pork roast; mashed potatoes; mixed vegetables

Saturday
lunch: leftovers
dinner: Italian meatballs; gravy; Angel Rolls; corn
(Note: Italian meatballs and Angel Rolls mix made & in the freezer!)

Sunday
lunch: creamy garlic pasta shells (mix)
dinner: tuna, pasta, & cheese meal
My new “spring” tablescape.
