Cleaning the toilets is certainly not the most glamorous task! I thought I’d share a tip for helping get the job done effectively.

Use white vinegar instead of bleach! Just pour some vinegar (maybe 1/8 of a cup?) into the bowl and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Come back and scrub the bowl with a toilet brush. The stains disappear! Also use vinegar (on a paper towel or reusable cleaning cloth) to wipe down the seat and the rest of the toilet.

Instead of using bleach to brighten my white laundry, I use lemon juice. I have found it to be very effective! Anytime I wash a load of whites, I add a splash of lemon juice. I also use lemon juice as a spot-treatment or pre-soak for stains. It works beautifully… and it’s all-natural! I buy my lemon juice in large bottles at the dollar store, so it’s very affordable as well.
