Fall Decorating!

September 1, 2011 by Aliesha

Guess what I’ve been doing today?  I guess my title gave it away.  πŸ™‚  I’ve been doing some fall cleaning and decorating!  Yep, around here, September 1st means I can drag out my pumpkin collection and start lighting cinnamon candles!  I’ve enjoyed adding some touches of fall around our house, and the decorating spree has actually made me want to clean.

Here’s a little look at our fall mantle as it currently stands (I love to rearrange, so I can’t promise it will stay this way all fall!).

Has anyone else started decorating or am I the only early bird?

Beautiful! Found your blog by browsing Google for fall decorating. I’m dragging out my stuff the day after Labor Day, but can’t wait. Love the mantle…really is so nicely done! Happy Fall!

It looks great!! I was planning on decorating yesterday or today but it’s almost 100* and I can’t quite get in the mood! Hopefully next week πŸ™‚

@CortneyIt’s been a little while since I painted it, but I don’t think I’ve posted too many pictures of it. I still have about 1/2 the room to do!

Looks wonderful!! I love decorating for Fall! While Christmas decorations are fun, there is just something fun and warm about fall colors and smells. I need to get out stuff out too! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! I refuse to think about Fall until October πŸ™‚ We have such a short “nice” season as it is, I don’t want to push it! I’ve been thinking about putting more personal touches on our house though.

On another note, have you finished your kitchen painting?

@StaceyI understand! I’m sure you feel like it just got warm up your way! Oh… our kitchen. No, we still haven’t come anywhere close to finishing it. But I’m learning to be patient and work in small “bites”! We do need to get cracking though, since I know neither of us like having an unfinished project hanging over our heads!
