Lynchburg Trip

As I mentioned, we visited Liberty U/Lynchburg last weekend. Our primary reason for the trip (aside from getting away as a family) was to see the Phantom of the Opera performed by the Liberty theatre! Believe me, it did NOT disappoint! They have a brand new theatre that is just wonderful, and the performance was spectacular.

While we were in Lynchburg we also went shopping, took Vera to a pet store, got frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog, visited our favorite coffee shop, ate a cupcake for breakfast, swam in the hotel pool, hiked to the monogram, went antiquing, and ate lots of good food!

Liberty Mountain

We were thrilled to take a weekend vacation back to our college town, Lynchburg, this past weekend. Tad and I both graduated from Liberty University, and it was really fun to spend the weekend back in “the ‘burg”!

I’m still sorting through all the pictures I took, but here are a few we snapped on Liberty Mountain up at the Monogram.

I also got to see Kristin, who was about 34 weeks pregnant (remember her wedding last summer? I was about 34 weeks pregnant then!). I can’t wait to meet her baby girl when she arrives this summer!

Tad, Vera, and I really enjoyed our time in Lynchburg, and I’ll definitely be posting more pictures later this week!

Big Mill Getaway

My darling husband and I took a little getaway to Big Mill, a local Bed & Breakfast earlier this week. We wanted to have a retreat in the middle of our crazy summer, and through all the busyness we have had going on lately (out-of-state travels, car troubles, etc.), this day on our calendar has helped keep us sane! We had a wonderfully relaxing and restful time together.
The SD card that was in my camera has apparently corrupted, so I wasn’t able to take any pictures while we were there. I stole these from the website!
The sunflowers were in bloom and we could see them from our window!
We stayed in this beautiful suite.
The bedroom was so peaceful and calming!
In addition to the beautiful suite, great views, and delicious breakfast, we also enjoyed a casual walk around the lake in the evening, sipping our coffee on the patio, and relaxing on the hammock outside our door.
