Week Twenty-Three

April 9, 2010 by Aliesha

Click here to compare with my photo from last week.

I officially wore my first pair of maternity pants yesterday! Andrea loaned me a big bag of maternity clothes to borrow, and I wore a pair of the jeans yesterday. (The skirt and green top pictured above are also on loan.) Thanks, Andrea!!

Baby girl continues to be active. I read that she is now the size of a papaya, but I saw one of those at Fresh Market yesterday and I just don’t think she’s quite that large! I can definitely tell that she is growing, though.

I have lots of energy during the day, but at night I just crash and feel like I could sleep for hours and hours. I’ve had a little trouble with waking up a lot at night (for apparently no reason), but hopefully that is just due to sleeping in a new house and getting adjusted to new sounds.

I haven’t done anything for the nursery this week, but I am hoping to paint the trim soon. I’ll post pictures of the room so far once I get the trim finished.

We just realized today that we’ll have a baby girl in our arms in around 4 more months!

We are thankful that God has blessed us with a healthy pregnancy so far!

Week Twenty-Two

April 5, 2010 by Aliesha

Again, I am late in posting this week’s baby photo! It’s been pretty crazy around here lately (read all about it), so I hope you’ll forgive me. Compare with last week here.

Anyway, I have been feeling great with the pregnancy and all. Baby Girl has been moving around like crazy and I have noticed she responds to voices (especially Tad’s). I’m definitely feeling more “top heavy” since my center of gravity is shifting.

I haven’t experienced a lot of lower back pain, and I think this is because I have been staying really active! I have lots of energy and am thankful for that.

At our appointment last week, we heard the baby’s heartbeat and it was strong. She is growing and I read that she is approximately 10 inches long now.

We started painting the nursery this weekend!

Week Twenty-One

March 27, 2010 by Aliesha

Sorry I didn’t post this yesterday, but we were pretty busy! To compare with last week’s photo, click here.

I feel like I’ve really “popped out” this week! I have had some strangers look at me when I’ve been out in public… and I think they were trying to figure out if I was pregnant or not.

Our baby girl is doing great. She continues to be very active and I get excited every time I get to feel her moving around and kicking!

We are looking forward to meeting her in August!
