Nursery Project: Wall Art

May 27, 2010 by Aliesha

We don’t have a lot of wall space in our little nursery, but early on I decided I was going to make some tree wall art using the same fabrics we’ve been using throughout our nursery. I plan on making a second tree (curving the opposite way) so I can hang them next to each other above our baby girl’s changing table. I love how the first one turned out!

Nursery Project: White Frames

May 7, 2010 by Aliesha

I created some art for our nursery for only $3! I bought frames from the dollar store ($1 each), painted them white (craft paint & brush, already on hand), and used fabric scraps from previous nursery projects to fill them with pops of color! I’m really pleased with how cute they turned out.

Nursery Project: Light Switch Cover

April 14, 2010 by Aliesha

My mom helped me paint the walls of the nursery when my family was down, and you can see the great new color in the photo above! I have not painted the trim yet, but it is going to be crisp white.

This afternoon I made a light switch cover following Make It and Love It’s tutorial here. I love how it turned out! Now I just need a pretty new (white, not ecru) light switch to go with the snazzy cover! (I think they are pretty cheap at Wal-mart.)

My next nursery projects will be to paint the inside of the closet (same as the walls) and paint the trim and door. Once that is finished, the fun stuff can begin!
