Jude’s Eight Months Old!

Our “Captain Adorable” is eight months old today!

Some milestones:
-can sit up for a few seconds when I help him get in position
-“army crawls” across the floor
-zips around the room in his walker
-loves looking at pictures of himself or a mirror
-goes to bed at 8:30 usually
-exclusively breastfeeds (still hasn’t started solids)
-weighs 22 pounds
-is starting to have some hair on his head!
-pushes up on his hands and a little bit on his knees
-coos, giggles, laughs, and blows raspberries
-makes some consonant sounds, such as “d” and “b”
-loves to eat carpet fuzz (eww)
-is overall very happy and pleasant!

Thankful for our sweet little guy!

Dining Al Fresco

On Monday, we enjoyed a delicious meal outside in the backyard! The weather was perfect!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I made carnitas (Mexican pulled pork), homemade tortillas, cilantro lime rice, fresh corn salsa, roasted peppers, and lemon cake.

Tad and I really loved the meal, but the girls were so distracted by being outside that they didn’t eat a lot.

Jude was quite happy on a quilt in the grass!

There was lots of dancing, as is fitting for any fiesta!

Bubbles, Tree Climbing, and Family

I’m so glad I married into a good family! Tad’s family is so dear to me, and I am so blessed that we are able to spend time with them on a pretty regular basis, even though we are separated by over 100 miles.

I had to grab a few photos Sunday afternoon before we headed home after our fun weekend!
