Wanted to give you all an update on our house situation: We have officially been fully approved for the loan, and we’ll be ordering the inspection next week! We are very thankful to God for His provision for and faithfulness to us.
We enjoyed perusing Lowe’s and Home Depot today for home-related goodies. Can’t wait to start buying things!

It looks like before too much longer (a month tops, Lord willing!), we will be moving into a new nest! We are in the process of buying a house that we greatly look forward to making into a home. The appraisal went through this week with no problems so far, and the inspection is the next step before closing. We appreciate your prayers that everything will go smoothly during the rest of this process!
We are so excited to start feathering our nest. This mama birdie has lots to do in the next few months!

Update: Here is a picture of the house that my mom (super internet sleuth) found!
On Friday, Tad and I found out that the house we had under contract (and had been pursuing since August) fell through. We were disappointed, definitely, but we see this as a clear sign from God that this is not the house for us.
We started looking at other houses on the internet right away, and our realtor was able to take us inside two of them (and we drove by a third) on Saturday. A couple of the houses had potential, and there are even a few more on the market that we’re going to try and see next week.
We are trusting God’s leading and timing in our housing situation, and we are looking to Him when we feel discouraged!
