My Fall Uniform

Fall fashion is my favorite… the boots & jeans, the cozy sweaters, and the fabulous scarves! But it’s always a challenge to bring that fall vibe into my wardrobe when the weather is still very summery!

I’ve been wearing this “fall uniform” and I plan on doing that for the next couple of months while the weather is still warm and I want to have a fall vibe going on!

My uniform is this: olive skirt + fall tee + leopard flats + great jewelry!

Do you have a “uniform” that is your go-to? It definitely helps me get dressed in the morning when I know what my favorite “look” is right now!

Fall 10×10 Capsule Wardrobe {Planning}

I am trying something new this fall… a capsule wardrobe! And a 10×10 capsule wardrobe at that! Simply put, a capsule wardrobe is a smaller number of pieces (tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes) that you can mix and match to create many outfits that fit your style and you feel amazing in!

A capsule wardrobe doesn’t need to be expensive or difficult to plan. In fact, with intentionality and thoughtful planning, you will have MORE outfit combinations because you can mix and match all your items in new and creative ways! Go through your closet and pick out ten favorite items to wear for ten days!

I’m going to be sharing my Fall 10×10 Capsule Wardrobe over on Instagram each day starting on October 22! I’m joining my friends @thequickjourney and @lizzyloveshealth to share outfits that are perfect for mom life! I’ll be sharing in my stories what I wear each day and how I combine these core pieces together to create at least ten different outfits.

I still have one more “slot” open in my fall capsule wardrobe, since I only have nine items picked out! I’m waiting to see what the weather holds to decide on my final core item! Deciding between a cream wool cardigan or another lightweight top!

Maternity Fashion in Charleston with PinkBlush

In May, Tad and I got to go on an amazing getaway to Charleston, SC for my 30th birthday! I was towards the end of my second trimester at the time, and that’s one of my favorite seasons of pregnancy! I had lots of energy, I felt great, and my ankles hadn’t started to swell yet!

I chose this beautiful PinkBlush maternity dress to wear on the trip because I knew it would be the perfect thing for transitioning from day to night!

Everyone in Charleston looks lovely all the time, and I felt so comfortable wearing this PinkBlush dress all around town during the day. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable, and the print is summery and feminine.

I love how this dress hugs my belly without being constricting! I felt so great wearing it!

Of course we had to take at least one stroll down Rainbow Row while we were in Charleston! It’s one of my favorite spots (a close second to Queen Street)!
