According to Tad, I redecorate our mantle about every week! I did a major re-do recently (what it looked like before), though, and I am very pleased with the result. I’m sorry that the pictures aren’t very good… I might have to try retaking them in better light. Anyway, you get the general idea!
What’s on your mantle right now?
As I mentioned in my post last night, I spent a little time working on an art project for the kitchen. I cut scrapbooking paper to fit the inside of these acrylic box frames (they stick out from the wall about an inch), popped the paper in, put the back on, stuck a few nails in the wall, and hung them up! The project took ten whole minutes, and that includes the time I spent hammering nails. The cost was minimal as well, since the frames were on clearance for $.79 each. The paper was $.99/sheet, which I thought was kind of expensive for scrapbooking paper, but I used less than 1/4 of each sheet, so I have lots leftover for card making or other projects.
Totally easy project! Now I don’t have to look at a blank wall while I wash dishes! And, if I get tired of this “look,” I can easily swap out the paper for something else (pictures, other paper, quotes, Bible verses, etc.). Fun!
