Sharing Is Caring

March 18, 2015 by Aliesha

Sunday Vera had a slight sore throat (she was fine by mid-morning), so I asked Tad to pick up some popsicles on the way home from church.  I gave them to the girls, but Jude was down from the table and I didn’t think he needed a whole popsicle anyway!

Tad told me to come into the kitchen because Cordelia was sharing her popsicle with Jude.

She’d let him have a lick…

…and repeat!

Don’t worry; she still got to enjoy most of it herself.

And Vera enjoyed hers too!  (Glad she wasn’t in the mood to share, since she would have been sharing her germs!)

So sweet to see sibling interactions like this!

Seven Kids Under Five

March 17, 2015 by Aliesha

Last week some sweet friends, Joshua and Stephanie, came to stay with us!  Between our two families there were seven kids five and under (5, 4.5, 4, 3, 2.5, 1, and 7 months)!  It sounds like it would be crazy, but it was really a lot of fun.  Our kids played together so well!

Their family is an encouragement and blessing to us, and we always love getting together with them (which, since we live in different states, is usually once or twice a year).

Maybe next time we’ll get a picture of all of the kids!  Just the girls were interested this time.

I found these pictures of Stephanie and me from 2008 (I believe) – before either of us were engaged!  Aliesha-Stephanie-2008

And now!

Isn’t it great to have friendships where we can just pick up where we left off? Such a blessing!

Week Sixteen

March 16, 2015 by Aliesha

Week-16

C’mon, baby Apricot!  It’s like you’re camera shy or something!  (If you’ve seen me recently in real life you know my bump is bigger than that, haha!)

I’ve been feeling great and really enjoying this season of my pregnancy.  The second trimester is the best trimester, as far as symptoms go!

We made the decision to not find out the gender of the baby this time!  Our ultrasound will be in a few more weeks, and we will (hopefully) stay strong at the appointment and wait until the birth to know the gender!  It was a decision Tad and I came to together after lots of talking it through.  Thanks for all your input last week!

We are so thankful for our little baby growing and changing!  He or she is about the size of an avocado now.  I haven’t felt movement yet, but I also don’t lie still very much (and when I do, I’m asleep almost instantly!).  I’m looking forward to feeling those little butterflies!
