One of the Blessings

September 26, 2012 by Aliesha

One of the blessings of Tad’s ministry position/job is that we get to be a part of so much of it!  Yesterday was a gorgeous day, so we all went with Tad to a soccer game for one of the kids from church.

I feel like it’s rare for me to get a good picture with just Vera, but I love how this one turned out.

Vera had a blast running around outside.

She didn’t like getting dirty, but that’s pretty normal for her.

Those curls. Those eyes. I could eat her up!

It was so sunny that Tad had to borrow my shades!

 We were cheering for #14.

We hung out with some sweet friends during the second half.

Thankful for the opportunities God has given us to minister at our church right now!

P.S. Cordelia was napping in her stroller during the game, and I didn’t take any pictures of her!

Cordelia’s Seven Months Old!

September 25, 2012 by Aliesha

Two days late.  Sorry!

Cordelia is now seven months old and speeding around the bend towards one year!

Here are some milestones:
-started crawling (at 6.5 months)
-now speeds around the room on her hands and knees
-shows a lot of interest in things she finds on the floor
-got her first tooth (it just barely popped through this weekend)
-is developing her pincer grasp
-loves to examine her hands and toes
-chews on anything she finds
-takes 2 naps a day now
-is starting to show an interest in stuffed animals (particularly big sister’s tiger and bunny)
-will put a little weight on her legs if you hold her up
-said “mama” last night
-weighs around 20 pounds (scale at home, not at Dr.)

We are so thankful for our happy, growing girl!

Date Night

September 21, 2012 by Aliesha

Tad planned a wonderful date night for us last night (first one sans baby since Cordelia was born!) and I wanted to share a few pictures from it.

Grammy came down to watch the girls for us, which was so sweet of her!  We’re still arguing over who got the better end of that deal.  Vera was clinging to us before we left, but she had an awesome time with Grammy.

Tad took me to my hair salon first so I could get a much-needed haircut (also the first one since Cordelia was born).  The sky was gorgeous on the way to dinner.

We went to a fun restaurant we’d never been to before and ordered food we’d never tried before!  Tad got Pad Thai Noodles with Shrimp, Pork, & Chicken.

I got Mongolian Beef, served with pitas, slaw, and sweet potato fries.

I loved my new haircut, by the way.

After dinner we went to Fresh Market and walked around (shopping is fun without babies in tow!) and got some coffee.

We had a wonderful time together and laughed a lot!
