Everyday Snapshots

April 17, 2013 by Aliesha

More often than not, I grab photos throughout the day using my cell phone.  If you follow me on instagram, you’ve seen these already, but for those of you who don’t, I wanted to share!

I’ve been reading Shauna Niequist’s new book, Bread & Wine and cooking though it.

I made her (super easy) white chicken chili recipe for dinner last week (amazing!).

Vera looked so sweet dressed up for church a few weeks ago.  She picked out the hat by herself!

We enjoyed some time at the park last week when it was pretty.

We’re seeing signs of spring everywhere, like this beautiful dogwood blooming outside our breakfast nook window, and the yellow/green pollen coating our porch.

And we were thrilled that a family of birdies decided to make a home in our wreath on our front door!  They hatched over the weekend.  It’s seriously the sweetest thing!

We had some friends over for dinner last week.

I also did pull out my “big camera” a few times recently.

Vera woke up from her nap one day with ridiculous hair!  She’s so funny.

Cordelia always keeps us smiling too!

I thought it was so sweet the other day when Tad played Play Dough with Vera while I made dinner.

Thankful for all these little moments!

Hi Aleisha! I might have to get that book, the chicken chili looks scrumptious… I love your blog, you are such an inspiration to all women!

Thanks, Cara! The chicken chili recipe only has 4 ingredients, so it’s a perfect weeknight meal! You’ll love the book.

Some of the recipes in the book are very easy; some are more complicated. I love cooking and trying new recipes all the time, so it’s a good fit for me. Most of the recipes are also gluten-free.
