This is my first foray in the kitchen since I’ve been married to Aliesha. My previous attempts as a bachelor ended in still frozen steaks and cold hotdogs. I was a bit more successful this time. I like to call this dish, Chicken with Pepperjack Cheese and Mushrooms and Onions Topped with Bacon. It tasted amazing, though it might not look that pretty.
All in all, I learned a lesson through this exercise that all men should learn. This lesson is that I cannot multitask.
I forgot about the mashed potatoes and the corn until the end and Aliesha had to come to my rescue. Thankfully the chicken was still hot.
I’m glad that I had this opportunity to cook. Alton Brown better watch his back or I might end up with his job.

We’ve been married 7 yrs almost and Travis had done very few STOVE top meals. Atleast anything that involves cooking a meat. He however can grill well 😉 and knows how to cook corn and other veggies fairly well on the stove. Just not the main course HEHE.

And encouragement for Tad: Even tho its not pretty! thats ok 🙂 even us wives make ugly meals that still taste good hehe.. I made a crock pot lasagna recently… and it was THE UGLIEST THING EVER!!! but mmm tasted great!!
