Fight Diaper Rashes with Boudreaux’s Butt Paste

September 30, 2016 by Aliesha

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux’s. I was compensated in product and a gift card for writing this post, but all opinions, text, and photos are my own.

We don’t experience too many diaper rashes at our house (for some reason our boys don’t get them as often as our girls did), but we’ve dealt with a few lately (possibly related to teething).

Whenever Theodore gets a bad diaper rash, we forgo the cloth diapers for a bit and slather on the good diaper rash cream!

Lately, we’ve been using Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, which has worked SO well!  It seems like it soothes the irritation right away.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste knocked out the diaper rash so quickly… it was amazing! I love that it contains zinc oxide.  I think that’s the key to easily ridding stubborn diaper rashes!

I got a chance to try out all three types of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste:

-The Original Formula – contains 16% Zinc Oxide which treats skin irritations by creating a barrier to seal out wetness
-The Maximum Strength Formula – contains 40% Zinc Oxide for over two times the rash fighting power as the Original Formula
-The All Natural Formula – In addition to 16% Zinc Oxide, this has been formulated with natural soothing and calming ingredients like Aloe Vera to soothe skin

We really love the all natural formula, but all three kinds are great!

Even when you’re not fighting diaper rashes, it’s a good idea to use a diaper rash cream like Boudreaux’s Butt Paste as a barrier between the diaper and the skin.  This helps prevent rashes from even starting!  This is especially important when the diaper will be on a while, such as at night or on a longer car ride.

I’m still waiting for my 8-month-old to get a diaper rash– her brothers and sisters seemed to get them more frequently!– but I, too, love diaper ointment with zinc oxide. It works so quickly on a basic diaper rash. It’s good for chafing on more grown-up skin, too. For yeasty diaper rashes, I prefer apple cider vinegar and a little fresh air. It is amazing.

Hi Aleisha! I’ve never actually used Boudreaux’s Butt paste on our baby but I do have several friends that use it on their kids and they love it! I’ve been using Destin just because it’s what mom always used! Never thought to stop and look at Boudreaux’s website until now but I love the way this stuff is “Paraben-, preservative- and phthalate-free.” I don’t think Destin is any of those now that I’m looking into it. Thanks for sharing this post! I would love to just try it out on our daughter!

Dealing with diaper rash: change diapers often and use an ointment or cream barrier as insurance to prevent diaper rash.
