Week Thirty-Seven

August 12, 2013 by Aliesha

I decided I should probably start doing pregnancy posts every week now, since I’m getting close to the end!

I had my 37 week appointment today.  My blood pressure was a little higher than usual, but nothing to be too concerned about.  Punkin’s heartbeat was 150 because I could feel him moving around before my midwife checked his heart rate with the Dopplar.

I had to take a Tylenol PM last night so I could sleep.  I was dealing with such excruciating back pain that I just couldn’t fall asleep!  I think that was my first time taking ANY medication my whole pregnancy, so I guess that’s pretty good!

I really should be doing more to get ready for the baby, but I’m so convinced that I’m going to go “past due,” that I am not very motivated yet!  The last two midwives I’ve seen have both told me that I probably won’t have the baby until a week or so over, since that’s kind of my track record.  (FYI, my mom’s third baby was a good bit overdue, so there’s that family history as well.)  So I feel like I have plenty of time!

You look fabulous!! I remember that feeling of thinking you have plenty of time. It was literally the night that I put the finishing touches on Colbie’s nursery that I went into labor πŸ™‚

You look great! How late were V and C? I’ve gotten later with each of my babies, so I’m fully expecting to go at least a week overdue. But these babies might just surprise us and come early πŸ™‚

    Praying for you!

Thanks, Kelly! Vera was 13 days over and Cordelia was 9 (but I was induced), so I guess we’ll see! When I average them together I expect I’ll be 11 days over, haha!
