House Tour: The Other Side of the Kitchen

April 28, 2010 by Aliesha

Curious what the other side of our kitchen looks like? I’ll be honest, back when these photos were taken, this side of the kitchen was a total disaster! Boxes and “stuff” everywhere with no organization whatsoever! But when we came across this bamboo baker’s rack at Aldi (marked down to $22), we knew we had found the solution to our mess. I put the rack together on Monday evening while Tad was making a table. We’re still trying to decide how we’re going to use all the new-found space, but for now at least our beautiful toaster oven has a home!
Plenty of room for other kitchen wares. Ideally, we are going to paint all the paneling and wood trim in our kitchen eventually, so I think the bamboo will look much better when contrasted with crisp white walls behind it!
I love how you can see my (slightly distorted) baby bump in the reflection on the toaster oven! Drawers contain picnic silverware and extra sponges at the moment.
And, lastly, a picture of our…*drumroll please* newly organized broom closet!

So, that’s what I’ve been working on lately.
