Table Update

April 28, 2010 by Aliesha

As I announced Monday evening, Tad has been working on making an 8-foot-long dining room table for us!

It is coming along beautifully! He has finished the entire top and is getting ready to attach the legs. Then, all that remains is sanding and painting. We are going to paint it with white semi-gloss paint. I can’t wait to share with you all the finished product! I’m so proud of my hubby.

Besides taking into account all of his other wonderful qualities, I want to nominate Tad for the “New Hubby of the Year” award for his wondrous, adventurous woodworking skills!! Go, Tad!!
(Yeah, the award has nothing to do with him giving me my first grandchild!! )

Truly, I AM very impressed with his “can do” attitude!! Can’t wait to see the table when it is finished!! Looks like it will be BEAUTIFUL!

I just did this same thing in my home but what I is used fabric for the boxes – just set it over the box and put the backing into it… it fills it perfectly and covers the sides.. mades it look deeper from the wall. just an idea when your ready for your next print ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi there,

Any updates on this table? I am a follower of your blog, and am curious as to how this is turning out. I love what you are doing with your home, and enjoy reading your blog. I am a newlywed too, and would like to have children soon, so I appreciate all of your advice and tips. Especially those that are frugal and homemade. We are on a small budget, and I am also a sah wife. Thanks for all of your posts!
